v0.9.1
Smash!
October 8, 2026
Attacks
NewNath's attacks are hand-painted: the Shout, the Ball slam, the water bomb, the Yo-yo ring, Pompon's wave and your friends' supers each get their own art instead of a plain colored circle.
NewBosses too: the Snake's slime, the Tamagoyle's toxic cloud, tires for Tag, Mrs Ferret's price stickers and the button that closes the Scroll's video.
EasierThe icons in the middle of zones (syringe, signal, pause) are now drawn, so they look the same on every phone.
Developer notes The zone still shows faintly under each picture, so you always see exactly how far it reaches.
Weapons
EasierGo Fetch! (Ball): the ball drops at the feet of the enemy it hit. Pick it up and your next throw deals +50%. Leave it and it comes back on its own after 1.5 s. Every throw also hits much harder.
FixWhen Nath throws her ball, her paws are finally empty.
FixThe Queen's "Red light!": pressing attack while your ball or yo-yo is already out no longer counts as moving.
Developer notes Before, a ball that only hit the boss flew off at random and then sat on the ground for 3 s: the aspect dealt less damage than the base ball. Now, fetching it is the best way to hit hard.
Friends
EasierYou no longer have to take a boon: "No thanks" gives you 15 candies instead (0 key on keyboard).
The room
NewThe scenery breaks: bins, crates, Lego, beanbags, plants and tapes burst apart under your shots. Sometimes there’s a sweet hidden inside.
NewSmashed props sometimes hide a find: a heart, marbles, even glitter. Big furniture hides twice as many.
EasierBig furniture (benches, beds, sofas, TVs…) breaks too, but it takes a while. Trees hold firm: there's always some cover left.
EasierWhat's behind each door now shows on a sign on the wall, so it no longer looks like a pickup.
EasierJump Rope (Scoubi): your dash now lays a thin braided lanyard instead of a plain yellow strip.
Developer notes Only your shots break the scenery: enemies just hit thin air.
Misc
NewOn the website, the full game can now be received as a gift, through a link.
FixSound sometimes didn’t come back after leaving the game and returning.
v0.9
New Faces
October 8, 2026
Like the Furies in Hades: every floor now has two possible bosses. Once you've beaten the usual boss twice, another one can guard the floor instead.
Rotating bosses
NewThe Marble Kingpin (the Schoolyard): the big fifth-grader steals your marbles. His shooter stays on the ground after every throw: grab it, and he's the one crying. Then the Pot, the Triangle and the pog slammer.
NewThe Fibbly (the Bedroom): the plush that talked to itself at night. It learns what you do and replays it against you, makes a mess (tidy up its toys), and finally gets sleepy… if you stop shooting.
NewThe Zapper (the Living Room): the 2003 TV remote. Stand in front of its beam to block the signal; otherwise it changes channels, and every channel changes its attacks (test pattern, weather, cartoons, home shopping).
NewThe draw avoids the same boss two runs in a row. Each one has its own music, dialogue and defeat scene.
Developer notes The usual bosses stay for your first runs: the story unfolds with the Queen, Tamagoyle and the Snake first. The new ones show up once you know those by heart.
The Recess Rules
New😤 The big kids join in (3 ranks, 2 points each), our Extreme Measures: the Queen calls fake "Red light!", then Tamagoyle throws longer tantrums, then the Snake speeds up and its bitten-off tail burns.
NewTwo more bounty tiers, at 34 and 37 points.
Secrets
NewA secret boss hides in the shop. We won't tell you how to wake it up.
NewAnd after the sixth night, look closely next to the portal: something was left on.
v0.8
The Big Attic
October 7, 2026
The attic isn't a picture anymore: it's a real room, two and a half times bigger, that you walk around.
New Features
NewFour corners: memories (the shelf, the memory wall, the catalog), the middle where you come up through the trapdoor, getting ready (the toy chest, the trunk, the Pencil Case boxes) and the Game Bloc at the far end.
NewTap a piece of furniture: Nath walks there and opens it. Tap the floor: she walks there. The joystick still works.
New▶ Play in the bottom right: Nath runs to the Game Bloc. A glowing path on the floor leads there too.
NewNath walks around the furniture, and an old teddy bear waits in the getting-ready corner.
NewFriends you've met on runs settle on the rug. Tap one to give them a candy shell: one heart, one memory.
NewThe old teddy finally has a job: tap him to try your weapon and its aspect, with real shots and your upgrades. He counts your damage per second.
NewAt first, almost everything sleeps under dust sheets. Each step (one run, two runs, a sticker, a promise, the Queen) uncovers a corner, and Pompon shows it to you.
NewA big “!” over anything new: Pompon wants to talk, a promise to claim, a weapon or upgrade you can afford, a friend to spoil.
Developer notes You told us it was hard to know where to go in the attic. We took a page from the House of Hades: a path to follow, an exit you can see, and soon friends who move in as you play.
v0.7.1
Popped Balls
October 7, 2026
Boss — The Recess Queen
EasierDodgeballs: damage reduced from 21 to 14 HP.
EasierDodgeballs: they vanish after 2 seconds instead of 6, and no longer linger during Jump Rope or “Red Light!”.
Developer notes The first stats from real players taught us something: the dodgeball landed in every fight, often during the next attack, while you were looking elsewhere. They also show real players fire far less often than our simulated ones, so we taught them to play the same way, to tune what comes next. Thanks to everyone who agreed to share their fights.
New Features
NewWeapon variants now have their own art: Nath really holds the Garden Hose, the Pump Gun, the Sleeper Yo-yo, the Twin Yo-yos, the “Go Fetch!” ball and the Hopper Ball. In the Toy Chest, tap a variant to see it, even before you unlock it.
NewVictory card: when a boss goes down, a 📸 button turns it into an image (time, HP, weapon) to share. On a computer, download or copy it.
Boss — Tamagoyle
EasierTantrum: the right button now lights up on the floor, with an arrow above it.
EasierSick: the shot lights up too, then Tamagoyle once you're carrying it. An arrow next to Nath points the way, even in the dark.
Boss — The 33-10 Snake
FixMSN: horizontal lines of text (“… is typing”) spawned inside the wall and vanished instantly. They finally cross the room.
EasierThe “You've won!!!” pop-ups are now real 2003-style windows that fill up before they hit.
Developer notes If the Snake felt easy in phase 2, that bug is part of why: one of its attacks simply wasn't there.
Interface
NewIn the attic, an ✨ Update button shows up when a new version is out. It never appears mid-run.
EasierTap a currency in the attic to see what it's for. During a run, a bubble explains it the first time you pick up candy or marbles.
EasierOn a computer, your special, dash and shout meter now show in the bottom right, so you can see when they're ready.
EasierNext to your health bar, 🧸 and 🥚 show the second chances you have left (Guardian Plushie, Second Egg).
Easier“Turn your phone” screen: if it won't go away, it now explains how to turn off rotation lock. Opened from Messenger, Instagram or Facebook (which block rotation), it explains how to switch to your browser.
EasierBefore you switch on: promises that fill up over time now show your progress (like 312 / 1000 enemies).
EasierWardrobe hats now sit on Nath's head, whatever the weapon or variant. The cassette-player headphones no longer cover her face.
FixOn a computer, the close button of windows floated far to the right: it's back on the corner.
FixThe attic shelf (the binder) couldn't be reached on foot.
FixAfter dying mid-fight, the first room of your next run showed its doors closed.
Fix“Try all three weapons” no longer shows up before you have all three.
EasierRecess Rules: boxes now show a check (✓), and each rule says how many points it's worth.
EasierThe 💌 envelope in the top bar (kept promises waiting for you) now opens with a tap, straight to your promises.
v0.7
Hello, world
October 7, 2026
Rembobine speaks English now. The references were adapted so a kid who grew up in 90s America feels right at home too.
New Features
NewThe whole game is translated into English: dialogue, memories, menus, patch notes.
NewThe language follows your phone's, and can be changed in Settings (🌐).
NewIn English, the schoolyard games are the ones from American playgrounds: “1, 2, 3, Soleil” becomes Red Light, Green Light, the Minitel becomes a modem, and bons points become gold stars.
Developer notes We kept what everyone knows (Tamagotchi, Game Boy, Nokia 3310, Pogs) and adapted what only existed in France, so the nostalgia hits on both sides of the Atlantic.
Interface
EasierCombat mode: during a fight, the minimap, currencies and floor name fade out, and your boons shrink out of the way. Everything comes back when the doors open.
EasierAgainst a boss, only your health, the boss bar and your buttons remain.
EasierLow health: a red glow pulses around the edges of the screen.
EasierTouch buttons are slightly see-through when idle, so you can see the action behind them.
EasierThe minimap is also in the pause menu.
EasierSettings now fit on one phone screen, in two columns.
v0.6
The Queen Calms Down
October 7, 2026
The game leaves home: it's online, your save can travel from one phone to another, and the Recess Queen tones it down a notch.
New Features
NewThe game is online at rembobine.pages.dev: no need to be home to play.
NewSettings → Export / Import: your whole save (and the current run) in one code to paste into your Notes.
NewInstall in full screen: a button on the title screen and a step-by-step guide (one tap on Android, three steps on iPhone). On a computer, the game plays right in the browser, or installs in its own window (Chrome, Edge, Safari).
NewHelp tune the difficulty: if you agree, the game sends anonymous stats from your fights. You're asked once, and can change it in Settings.
NewPatch notes, which you're reading right now.
Boss — The Recess Queen
EasierJump Rope: damage per pass reduced from 21 to 13 HP.
EasierJump Rope (phase 1): spins 15% slower, so the dash is easier to time.
EasierHopscotch: damage per square reduced from 28 to 19 HP.
Developer notes The Queen is the game's first real wall, and she was too tall: a single missed rope could cost your entire health bar. Our simulated beginner players never beat her. They now beat her about half the time with a few Pencil Case upgrades, with no change for experienced players.
Bug Fixes
FixThe game could crash on the first effect of the second run in the same session (“null is not an object”).
v0.5
Rembobine
October 6, 2026
New Features
NewThe game has a new name: Récré sans fin is now Rembobine.
NewA real soundtrack: the attic, one track per floor, a theme for each boss and a victory fanfare.
NewThe music goes muffled between fights and opens up when the action hits.
NewA home screen icon: Nath and her water blaster.
Interface
EasierAttic menus now fit on a phone screen: the Toy Chest shows the weapon list and the details of the one you tap.
FixOn iPhone, attic buttons only responded every other tap.
v0.4
The Growing Attic
October 6, 2026
New Features
NewA real ending, over six nights, like Hades' epilogue.
NewThe Promise List and the tabbed binder.
NewThe Recess Rules: difficulty rules you check off yourself, with bonuses.
NewWeapon aspects: two variants per weapon, unlocked with gold stars.
NewFriends and the Friendship Book: a candy shell, a heart, a memory.
NewThe Christmas Wish Book: items to decorate the attic.
NewThe Memory Encyclopedia: one page per monster, with the real memory behind it.
Saving
FixA run started before an update now resumes without issue, and the browser keeps your save longer.
v0.3
The CRT Living Room
October 6, 2026
New Features
NewThird floor: the CRT Living Room (2003), and its boss, the 33-10 Snake.
NewThe Queen learns Tag and Hide-and-Seek; Tamagoyle gets sick.
